About Us
25 Years of Service in Scotland
Thain Appliances, part of the Thain Group, has been a sales and servicing partner of Miele in Scotland now for over 25 years and we are unique in the North and South of Scotland, in that we are the only Miele Sales and Service partners in your area, with the largest independent team of fully qualified and skilled Miele service engineers in Scotland.
We have a proud track record of providing our customers with a first-class sales experience, ensuring that when you buy a Miele product through us, that our customer service is exactly what you’d expect from a Miele partner.
How It All Began
Thain Electrical Ltd was set up by current Managing Director, Kevin Thain in 1996 in Aviemore. Kevin, who still leads the company today, saw a gap in the market for a company to partner Miele and provide domestic households in Scotland with a wide variety of Miele appliances.
Since those early days, Kevin has grown the company quite considerably and now has 27 employees. Many of those employees are employed as maintenance & service engineers, which allows Thain Appliances to offer maintenance and servicing of the Miele products that domestic customers throughout Scotland have purchased.
What’s Next For Thain Appliances
As word of the Miele brand spreads even further, we anticipate that more and more people in Scotland will opt to purchase Miele appliances and benefit from the great reliability, durability and excellent value for money proposition that the Miele brand provides.
As such, we look forward to welcoming many new customers to Thain Appliances over the coming years and demonstrating to them our product knowledge, attention to detail, excellent customer care and skills of our maintenance and servicing engineers to help our customers keep Miele products in great working order.
